Password dictionaries provide excellent coverage for low-complexity encryption; however, such is not a feasible approach given the increasing use of high-end cryptography for data at rest (stored data) across many devices.

    The hardware re we employ allows us to not only expand the scale (longer, more complex password dictionaries) and speed at which we use dictionary-based decryption but opens many new avenues for directly decrypting high-complexity cryptography commonly used on PCs (e.g. Mac OS FileVault), smartphones and wireless communications (e.g. Bluetooth privacy, BlackBerry devices). In some cases decryption times can be reduced to minutes or days (versus months or years in extreme circumstances). Due to the use of open standards we will have the ability to customize our decryption capabilities in the future to address evolving encryption algorithms and trends.
